Investment strategy

We invest in businesses that have the potential to realise strong growth, either organically or through operational improvement. We also seek to invest in businesses that themselves possess clear acquisition opportunities within their industry. We have a proven track record of success through roll-up acquisition strategies and see this as important for business growth, particularly interstate and internationally.

Board representation is a prerequisite for all our investments, and we work closely with existing management to identify opportunities and assist in the expansion of each business.

We identify areas for improvement in the investee business, such as structure and process changes, improved sales and marketing, and the introduction of new skills. We work hands-on with empowered management to set clear goals for team members, who are recognised for their achievements.

In each case we identify a clear exit strategy for our investors. We also consider opportunities to invest expansion capital for significant minority shareholdings, especially where further acquisitions are anticipated and shareholding may be increased to a majority ownership position.
